With 4-way stretch fabric and a movement-focused patterning for added mobility, this pant moves with you in the mountains. At the same time, the Recon’s 3L BD.dry™ waterproof/breathable solution keeps you dry on deep days. The Recon features two zippered thigh pockets (with a low-profile electronics pocket on the right side). A contoured waistband provides extra coverage and the ability to dial in fit with Velcro adjusts on the sides, snap closure, and belt loops. An integrated RECCO reflector adds a safety feature to the pants, while the instep patches guard against ski edges. The Recon’s offset side vents allow you to dump heat on the skin track, and the high-mounted snow gaiter keeps out the snow.

BD.Dry™ 3L

Black Diamond’s waterproof/breathable/windproof solution. BD.dry™ 3L face fabrics are treated with a DWR solution without intentionally added PFAS and these fabrics have a hydrophilic membrane that allows water vapor to transfer through, making them waterproof, yet breathable. Applied to the backside of this fabric is a third layer, jersey backer, that feels comfortable next to the skin and allows moisture to turn to vapor before passing through the hydrophilic membrane.
