At Pro Ski and Mountain Service we are always looking for engaged mountain enthusiasts who want to join our team!  We are a well established ski, rock and alpine retail sales and service shop located in the heart of the Central Cascade Mountains. We aim to be the #1 Backcountry Mountain Shop in the PNW and excel at our core competencies: Snow, Rock, Alpine, & Trail. We are the Northwest’s original Dynafit Competency Center, are sponsored by Black Diamond and Outdoor Research, and have authored 3 backcountry ski/splitboard guide and skills books.

Our shop is located in the heart of North Bend, WA just outside Seattle.  We are a full service ski / snowboard shop and outdoor retailer. We are the Northwest’s original Dynafit Competency Center and have authored 3 backcountry ski/splitboard guide and skills books.

Our staff and clientele are engaged outdoor recreationalists; we use and understand the gear we sell. We strive to maintain the highest level of knowledge, service and authenticity in the industry, aided by our highly experienced guides from our guiding service, Pro Guiding Service.

Position: Service Manager

We are hiring for the Service Manager position! Pro Ski and Mountain Service is looking for an experienced Service Manager to set, execute, and maintain our high standard of service quality for our customers. You will uphold the highest standards in mounting and tuning ski bindings and boards while staying up-to-date on new trends in gear and best practices within the ski service industry. The Service Manager should be able to provide high quality customer service and be able to train the shop’s ski technicians. Your daily tasks would include overseeing the service department and staff, executing high quality tunes and repair work, helping customers, managing supplies and tooling, and bringing a great vibe to our shop. 


This is a full time, year round position. Starting hourly wage is $20-$25 DOE.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a ski service environment
  • Available to work weekends
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent customer service
  • Positive attitude and ability to problem solve

 

Duties

  • Forecast staffing needs to meet service demands and manage the workload of tunes/mounts/rentals, ensuring that all service work is completed on time
  • Run and manage service details in our point-of-sale system (LightSpeed)
  • Manage the shop’s indemnification list
  • Train shop technicians as needed, making sure all employees have current bindings certifications
  • Monitor supply purchasing in coordination with the General Manager; ensure proper jigs and tools are on hand
  • Keep up-to-date on product recalls
  • Oversee Pro Ski’s warranty program and facilitate warranty returns/repairs for customers
  • Communicate special order needs to the General Manager
  • Check in and check out customer service work
  • Execute machine maintenance
  • Perform binding mounts both with and without jigs
    • Touring/Tech
    • Alpine Bindings
    • Tele Bindings
    • Splitboard Bindings
    • Snowboard Bindings
    • Cross country
    • Custom mounts
  • Tune and repair skis and snowboards, including
    • Full and basic tunes
    • Race tunes
    • Edges and hot wax
    • P-tex repairs and base patches
  • Utilize the Vermont Release Calibrator to measure the release torque of bindings
  • Manage Pro Guiding Service gear maintenance and repairs in coordination with the guiding service
  • Assist with rentals during periods of high rental traffic
  • Complete boot service work as needed
  • Assist on sales floor as needed
  • Manage backshop cleanliness, participate in full store cleanliness

We are hiring Service Technicians! Pro Ski and Mountain Service is looking for talented and motivated individuals to work in our service department. Your daily tasks would include mounting alpine, touring, telemark, snowboard, and kids gear, executing high quality tunes and repair work, helping customers, and bringing a great vibe to our shop.


We are hiring full and part time seasonal positions. Opportunities for year round employment are available as well. Starting hourly wage is $19-$24 DOE.

  • Completing high quality ski/board tunes and service work
  • Mounting bindings (ski, snowboard, split, xc, tele) with accuracy and efficiency
  • Performing accurate, efficient ski binding tests
  • Assisting with customer rentals, including sizing, selecting appropriate gear for the customer’s ability, and making adjustments as needed
  • Maintaining rental gear fleet by checking for damage and performing repairs
  • Managing retail gear service check ins and pick ups
  • Managing Pro Ski’s warranty program and facilitate warranty returns/repairs for customers
  • Keeping the work space and store clean
  • Becoming an expert in all the categories we participate in with on-the-job training

We are hiring Sales Associates! We are looking for people who excel at engaging and educating customers on the sales floor. We provide product education and apply our personal experience to provide industry-leading customer service. Boot fitting experience is preferred, but we can train the right person. A strong work ethic and a passion for the mountains readily equates to success in our fast paced, positive energy environment.

  • Taking advantage of opportunities to learn custom boot fitting and invest in developing this skill set
